Riding high on Whiskey's back, I galloped across the open fields of Waipuna Station during the Brackenfield hunt. It was Whiskey's and my camera's debut on a hunt, and I was thrilled to capture the action and beauty of the horses. From Whiskey's perspective, I snapped photos of the pack using a wide angle lens, which gives a unique view of the action. Some shots might be a bit more expansive than close-up, but they capture the energy of the day. I didn't have a zoom lens, so the wide angle lens really came into play.

I had a fantastic time meeting some wonderful new people, particularly Nigel and Nicola, the Master and his wife, who were amazing hosts. They really know their stuff and made the day run smoothly. And huge props to their daughter Lucy, the Huntswoman and her team, who did an incredible job. And let's not forget the fantastic night out at the Ikamatua hotel afterwards, the band got everyone going with some great music and the dancing and atmosphere were just top notch, it was a really good time.

I'd also like to extend a huge thank you to Mark Ferguson for letting us hunt on his land, it's people like him that make these hunts possible and I'm hugely grateful for that. Can't wait for the next adventure and to see what other great shots I can get, and hopefully we'll be back again next year.
